The Railway Hotel is conveniently located between the Port Adelaide Maritime and Railway Museums and has existed since 1856. It is situated at 247 St Vincents Street, Port Adelaide. During recent years the hotel has been renovated to upgrade its services for the  local community and visitors to the area. Many of them attend the Maritime Museum Complex, where information can be gathered regarding early immigrants to South Australia. The Port Dock Railway Museum has many attractions including steam engines originally built in the UK and shipped to Australia.

The Railway Hotel has wholesome meals at realistic prices and makes a great venue for a luncheon or evening meal. During the renovations to the hotel the original floorboards were used to construct the bar, with Jarrah timber from the old Port Adelaide wool stores used for the bar top.
